The best employee recognition companies depend on what you need done. Software platforms such as Workhuman, Achievers, Awardco and Bonusly run points and peer recognition. Service-award houses such as O.C. Tanner, Terryberry and C.A. Short make custom awards and run milestone programs. Award catalogs, gift-choice services and curated fulfillment cover the rest. Pick the type first, then the vendor.
The five types, with the vendors covered below:
- Recognition software platforms: Workhuman, Achievers, Motivosity, Awardco, Bonusly
- Service-award houses: O.C. Tanner, Terryberry, C.A. Short
- Award and promotional catalogs: Successories, Awards.com, 4imprint, Positive Promotions
- Gift-choice services: Awards Network, Corporate Traditions
- Specialist programs: National Safety Council (safe driver awards), Driver Appreciation Solutions (curated driver appreciation)
Every vendor fact comes from that vendor's own website, read on October 22, 2026, and is linked at the claim. The order within each type is not a ranking. If you are buying recognition for truck drivers and want it handled end to end, talk to a DAS fleet specialist.
The five types of recognition companies at a glance
| Type | What you buy | Who runs the program | Typical fit |
|---|---|---|---|
| Software platform | Per-user subscription plus a reward budget | Your HR team, in the software | Staff who use a work app daily |
| Service-award house | Platform plus custom-made awards | Shared: vendor makes and ships, you set the rules | Large employers with formal milestone programs |
| Award and promo catalog | Items by the piece or by quantity | You, entirely | Teams that run their own program |
| Gift-choice service | Gift levels; the employee picks the item | Vendor ships; you send the list | Employers who want choice without managing addresses |
| Specialist program | A program built for one kind of worker or one kind of award | Vendor curates and fulfills | Employers with a workforce the generic tools don't fit |

Achievers
Achievers' homepage describes "an enterprise recognition platform with a global rewards marketplace," lists modules to recognize, reward and celebrate milestones, and names integrations with Workday, Microsoft, Slack and Zoom. It segments buyers into mid-market and enterprise. Fits employers that are mid-size or larger and already run those workplace tools.
Motivosity
Motivosity's homepage says it is "trusted by 1,200+ companies," automates anniversaries through milestone celebrations, offers swag and custom rewards, and describes a reward marketplace with "500M options from Amazon to gift cards." It also lists a mobile app. Fits employers that want peer recognition, milestones and perks in one social platform.
Awardco and Bonusly
As of October 2026, Awardco's pricing page lists small-business packages "starting at $3,000" for 100 or fewer employees, and Bonusly's pricing page lists a free plan for up to 8 users and a Team plan priced per user. Terryberry
Terryberry's symbolic awards page says it has been handcrafting awards "in our Grand Rapids, MI factory since 1918," has no order minimums to get started, and delivers most custom orders "within 3-5 weeks." Fits fleets that want a points platform tied to telematics safety data.
Award and promotional catalogs
Award and promotional catalogs sell the item; the buyer runs the program.
Successories
Successories' years of service awards page lists plaques, crystal awards and trophies "with free engraving, free logo, and free setup," and its catalog includes anniversary pins and certificates. Fits employers that need a plaque or pin and have their own presentation plan.

Gift-choice services
Gift-choice services let each employee pick a gift from a catalog at a set level, and the vendor ships it.
Awards Network
Awards Network's service milestones page says it tracks every anniversary date, sends the recipient "a personal link to choose their own gift," needs "no home address required from your team," and charges no per-user fees. Fits employers that want choice and no address handling.
Corporate Traditions
Corporate Traditions' homepage offers gift cards, a pick-your-gift program with physical gifts "shipped right to employees' doors," and turkey and grocery vouchers "accepted at 15k+ grocery stores nationwide," with "No Contracts. No Fees. No Minimums." Fits employers that want holiday and anniversary gifts without a platform contract.
Specialist programs
Specialist programs are built for one kind of award or one kind of worker.
National Safety Council
The National Safety Council's shop sells Safe Driver Award lapel pins for 1 through 45 years without a preventable incident. As of October 2026 the pins are marked restricted products that need a login to buy, and buyers certify they will present them only to eligible employees. More in our planned post on safety award companies. Fits fleets that want the NSC's award standard.

The minimum order is 10 units on all items. Pricing is quoted per program. Request current pricing. Fits fleets that want curated appreciation with fulfillment handled for them.
Which type of recognition company fits a trucking fleet?
A trucking fleet usually needs more than one type, because its people work in different places. Use this table to match each recognition moment to a type.
| Recognition moment | Who it's for | Type that usually fits | Why |
|---|---|---|---|
| Everyday thanks | Dispatch, office, shop | Software platform | They use a work app daily |
| Everyday thanks | Over-the-road drivers | Phone-friendly platform or a physical note | Many drivers have no company email |
| 5, 10, 20 years of service | Everyone | Service-award house or specialist program | A lasting award presented in person |
| Safe-driving years | Drivers | Specialist program or service-award house | Needs its own criteria and track |
| Driver Appreciation Week in September | All drivers at once | Specialist program, gift-choice service or catalog | Volume, one date, many locations |
| Holiday gifts | Everyone | Gift-choice service or catalog | Choice or simple bulk items |
Four questions narrow any shortlist of employee recognition vendors:
- Who runs it day to day? Software needs an owner. Catalogs need someone to order, track and present.
- How does it reach a driver who is never at a desk? Ask for the exact path from approval to the driver's hands.
- What is the minimum and the lead time? Ask for both, in writing, for your busiest month.
- Is pricing published or quoted? Published prices help you budget; quoted programs need the same inputs sent to every vendor.
Building your shortlist
Pick one type for office staff and one for drivers, then shortlist two vendors in each. Send all four the same questions and compare written answers.
